For this week’s featured project, we’re showcasing a window installation completed for a customer in Syracuse, NY! Our customer was looking for high-performance windows that would improve both comfort and curb appeal. Our team at New York Sash installed a combination of double hung windows, picture windows, and sliding windows, custom-fit for each space. With expert installation and durable, low-maintenance materials, these new windows will provide better insulation, reduce drafts, and enhance the home’s long-term value.
Choosing the Right Windows for Comfort and Efficiency
During their in-home consultation, the homeowners expressed that they were looking for a long-term solution that would improve the look, comfort, and efficiency of their home. With help from their New York Sash Design Consultant, they selected a combination of energy-efficient vinyl windows designed for both performance and style.
In the dining room, we installed a 3-lite sliding window, which allows for ample natural light and smooth ventilation. Over the kitchen sink, a 2-lite slider window was chosen for easy operation and convenience in a high-use area. In the living room, we installed a beautiful double hung and picture window combination that offers expansive views and a bright, open feel to the space.
Each window was custom-made to fit the exact opening, ensuring a secure and draft-free installation. All of the new units feature double-pane glass with argon gas insulation, helping to improve indoor comfort and reduce energy costs throughout the year—something especially important for homeowners in Upstate New York’s varying climate.
